Rural/Metro operates Buffalo's most sophisticated Fleet Service facility, located at 481 William L. Gaiter Parkway, which also houses our EMS Operations Base. Eight Fleet Service Technicians holding ASE and EVT certifications compliment this 11,000 square foot facility, operating seven days a week. State-of-the-art equipment and a well-planned parts inventory provide the resources required to conduct preventative maintenance services for each unit. The focus on prevention is the hallmark of this division's activities, and has resulted in a fleet of EMS units unmatched for their safe and reliable performance under all conditions.
A comprehensive vehicle checklist is executed as standard operating procedure for all scheduled planned maintenance intervals. Each "PM" interval involves a progressively more intense set of criteria, including pre-determined major part replacement, thorough inspection, testing, cleaning and lubrication.

Our Fleet Department is staffed around the clock five days a week; on-call technicians provide full weekend and holiday coverage. We also have a fully equipped Mobile Service Vehicle, and extensive experience and knowledge of DOT and DOH rules and regulations.
