The Scheduling Department of Rural/Metro Western New York utilizes Net Scheduler Pro, a state of the art web-based interactive scheduling program, which allows employees continuous access to individual schedules. The Department is responsible for scheduling over 550 full-time, part-time and per diem employees.
Rural/Metro also offers coverage for a variety of Special Events, including the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Bisons, Shea's Performing Arts Center, Kleinhans, Erie County Fair and many other venues across Western New York. These hours are available to assist you with your scheduling and payroll needs, including time switches, PTO request, open shift bid, daily open shifts, and payroll questions. After hours, all calls and inquiries are forwarded to the Communications Crew Chief, which allows 24/7 coverage for any scheduling concerns.
