MEDICAL SERVICES AWARDED CONTRACT EXTENSION |

Cheektowaga, New York (January 12, 2005) – Rural/Metro Medical Services of Western New York has signed an agreement with the Town of Cheektowaga to continue to provide 911-ambulance services to residents. Rural/Metro has provided emergency medical services to the Town of Cheektowaga for more than thirty years. The foundation of this partnership was built on the shared objective of providing swift superior patient care while continuing to grow through recurring innovative and enhancement initiatives. Cheektowaga Fire Commissioner and EMS Board Chairman Robert Schmitt said, “We are looking forward to another good year, just like last year. They provide a terrific service to the residents of Cheektowaga”. Robert Zachrich, Division General Manager, said, “We are delighted to continue to serve the residents of Cheektowaga. The town demands fast response times and superior service and our professionals are doing a great job of accomplishing both.” The Town of Cheektowaga encompasses ten [10] Fire Districts - Bellevue, Doyle #1 & 2, Cleveland Hill, Forks, Pine Hill, Rescue, Sloan, South Line, U-Crest and Hy-View. In addition, Rural/Metro has relationships with many medical/nursing home facilities within the community as well as with the Buffalo/Niagara Regional Airport that resides within the Town of Cheektowaga. Rural/Metro, headquartered
at 481 William L. Gaiter Parkway in Buffalo, New York, has satellite offices
and ambulance bases in Amherst, Cheektowaga, Hamburg, and Niagara Falls
as well as several others locations throughout Erie, Niagara and Orleans
Counties. Their 520+ paramedics, EMT’s and support personnel are
responsible for servicing 22 hospitals, more than 100 nursing homes and
health care facilities, most major sporting and entertainment events in
the region, as well as the one million residents who reside in Western
New York. |
