MEDICAL SERVICES AWARDED CONTRACT WITH CATHOLIC HEALTH SYSTEM |

Buffalo, New York – Rural/Metro Medical Services of Western New York has signed a three-year agreement with the Catholic Health System Inc. Rural/Metro provides inter-facility transfers at the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) for all the Catholic Health System facilities to include the four major hospitals: Sisters of Charity Hospital, Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, Kenmore Mercy Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital. “This agreement only fortifies the tremendous relationship we have had with CHS for many years”, said Rob Zachrich, General Manager of Rural/Metro Medical Services. “Western New York is fortunate to have such an outstanding hospital system and Rural/Metro Medical Services is proud to offer our services to them” Zachrich went on to say. “We are pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with Rural Metro” said Joe McDonald, President and CEO of the Catholic Health System. “The public can continue to count on the Rural Metro team working together with physician and nurses in the Catholic Health System's hospital emergency departments to save lives across the communities we serve”. Rural/Metro Medical Services transports more than 20,000 inter-facility, 911, and general transports to and from the Catholic Health System facilities each year. Rural/Metro,
headquartered in Buffalo, New York, has satellite offices and ambulance
bases in Amherst, Cheektowaga, Hamburg, and Niagara Falls as well as several
others locations throughout Erie, Niagara and Orleans Counties. Their
500+ paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and support personnel are
responsible for servicing 22 hospitals and over 100 nursing homes and
health care facilities as well as the one million residents that reside
in Western New York.
