Rural/Metro Medical Services requires that our pre-hospital care providers hold a current and valid New York State EMT-D or AEMT certification. Certification is available through Erie Community College, or visit the New York State Department of Health Bureau of EMS training website for other EMT training locations.
Reciprocity is available for those people with National Registry, or other out-of-state certifications, on an individual basis. Please visit the New York State Department of Health Bureau of EMS reciprocity website for reciprocity applications or for more information.
