What is the difference between BLS and ALS?
A.

BLS (Basic Life Support) is a basic transport where in most cases life threatening medical conditions are not present.

ALS (Advanced Life Support) is a transport where an Intermediate or Paramedic was needed when a potentially life threatening medical condition is present (e.g., stroke or cardiac arrest).

I have insurance, why am I getting billed?
A.
Depending on the insurance company and policy you may have, transportation could be a non-covered service. A co-payment or deductible may also be required. Consult with your insurance carrier for an explanation of your policy.
3. Q.
What is the Spirit Program?
A.
Our Spirit program is available only to people who have health insurance. This program covers any deductibles or co-payments after insurance. Go to our page on the Spirit program for more details.
4. Q.
How can I pay my bill?
A.

There are currently two options for paying your bill:

  1. Mailing a check or money order
  2. You may call 716.332.0740 into our Customer Service Department and pay be check or credit card by phone (We are unable to process payments by debit cards with credit card logos on them.)

Where do I send my payment?
A.

You can mail your check or money order to the address shown on your bill:

6. Q.
Why does it take so long for my payment to post to my account?
A.
You must allow 2 weeks for your payment to post to your account. Your payment goes to a processing department, then is reported to the billing department to update your account.
